Not to worry. We have our ways (and means). When someone in midst of a AW poser issue registers and trips multiple flags that they are trying to disguise themselves yet seek honest answers, they get pushback on that. Registering as age 49 yet posting you are 20? That invited a simple Google search that revealed posts elsewhere with yet another age and lack of interest in military aviation. We don't have time or patience for shenanigans like that and someone who feels entitled to ask a barrage of questions yet disregards Mod direction.

I honestly thought that the profile had to be completed in order to be a registered member. Reasons why I finally registered after 3 years of lurking.

Shame he got a copy of whatever sequence that was FOUO, though...

There's a flow in every plane so you don't have to "memorize it" verbatim. You know what you need to do and when, so instead of reading the list, you just hit the high points and check yourself before you flip an important switch (starters/condition levers etc). They don't just throw these things together all nimbly pimbly!

"yea we'll just kinda gloss over these checklists here during these practice EPs in a P3 from whidbey OH NO THE OTHER ENGINE FAILED AHHHH WE'RE IN A 5 G SPIN."

I'm sorry I couldn't resist. :D

In spades...what he can't see from Mod perspective (aside from what has already been said) is we go by Viral Rule of 10. In other words, when a new poster shows up and asks a barrage of questions without establishing who they are, do we want 10 more "Monkey see, Monkey see" copycats?

In this case, no! AW is not Naval Aviation Answer.com. It exists to mentor and motivate those who want to follow in footsteps of those who have earned their wings of gold. Asking about ECS and start procedures as an introduction is not the same as asking about USMC vs USN flight school options or the ASTB. If we don't check this behavior, we are indirectly endorsing it.

And what he fails to mention is JJJ was traced to another site saying:

Additionally, 2 of his 3 given ages put him outside opportunity window to fly for USN or USMC so he was asked by several Mods to clarify this info, but elected to cop an attitude and take his stance to the open forum vice keeping it private so my answer (above) is here.

Just as a sidebar, I wanted to say that this attitude and similar attitudes and actions from the other mods is why I love this site.

While I may not post here much ( I usually dont have anything productive to add). I do appreciate the utility of this site and am glad that should I need have a question that needs answered, I have a good location to search for one.

It is just to damn bad that people show up, think they are entitled to answers and get pissed when they are berrated for jackassery.

Never thought about it this way; makes sense though. Copycats would be horrible!

Sheesh, I'm a civvie jet geek too, I hope I'm staying out of the same category as that dude. I'm the type who could easily turn into "asks too many detailed questions at an air show" guy if I'm not careful, I have to keep that in check. This place is a great forum for info, thanks for keeping me around. I try and think before posting though. Well, except for this time...

Jet geeks are more than welcome. Whiny kids with a sense of entitlement aren't. Welcome aboard. :D

Heyyy, we're not all bad. Besides, that Hoover pilot at one of our air shows one year seemed genuinely impressed that I knew they had just gained AGM-65 capability. :D

In hindsight it was a low point in my life, but at the time as a kid I was thinking it'd be a nice break from the 'how fast does this thing go?' crowd. Of course I was also naive enough to wonder why no crews came out to man the static display jets before 11AM, but hey, live and learn huh?
