My final select letter just came through. I was in the Oct. 29 board, and I'm placed in the December 14 class! I cannot believe the turn around was so quick. My recruiter said that they get the security clearance stuff in early so that her recruits are first in line, though I never heard from an investigator, and I don't think my references have been contacted... Anyways, I am shocked to have heard back so quickly, but I'm pumped to have my date! And I'm ready to go! Good luck to the rest of you.

Congrats! What's your designator? I figure they balance the classes out. I was on the 6 Oct board and had my ss and medical stuff in before my package was even submitted.

I never had an interview for my Secret Clearance and as far as I know, none of the references were contacted. I have a fairly spotless history so I am assuming they would only contact people if there were questions or concerns. I think for this one, they are just doing a re-investigation; my current clearance doesn't expire until 2019.

Same with me. I have a current clearance and my medical is good to go. I would think it would be any day now for a FINSEL. Hopefully.

Or it could be at random. I have a pretty spotless record myself .. No trouble with the law. Went to a small university in New Mexico, etc.. And they still contacted me and met with many of my contacts. I don't have anything in my record that would cause concern. Unless being a chemistry major raised concerns ... You know with breaking bad being a big thing in NM.. Lol jk.

Did anybody active duty get there final select letter? I just got my PQ letter, but I need to do an alcohol and drug screening. Hopefully the results come back soon, so I can get my ticket to Rhode Island.

Where do our families go while we're in OCS? My wife was kind of worried that she would have to stay in Guam by herself.

Don't think I did it yet, checking in from 29 OCT board (PRO-Y SNA).

Been monitoring this page lately and hope for a speedy turn around like all of you guys (assuming the age critical are taken in priority, of course).

I've done the screening. Active duty Air Force still waiting on my FINSEL. Only med clearance I've received was to meet the board.

I haven't heard of any other AD guys getting theirs. I figured they would come to us quicker than civilians, like the board results. I'm curious about family as well. I told my wife that guys were getting a mid-December date and she kinda flipped haha.
