Out of curiosity, who is submitting their application with the "new app." for this month’s board? I am curious because after looking it over, it seems much better organized than the old version. Also I like how the recruiter has space to write something personal about the applicant. Anyways, I just wanted to get some input from you all.

My recruiter said I didn’t need to change from the old to the new because my app. is already in (guess the deadline is 08/15). Kind of wish I had to though…

Rough Timeline?

So submission is due by Aug 15th, package reviewed by the middle of Sep, should know select and nonselects by late Sep? That would be great if that was the progression. I have been on for a while and never posted stats so here's mine for the september board.

Applying SNA
Aerospace Engineer - University of Alabama in Huntsville
23/ Non-Prior / Male
5'11", 220lbs (Muscular) - Will drop as much weight as I need even though I am 11% body fat.
8/8/9 63 Test Scores
GPA 3.05/4
College baseball player for 4 years
Countless awards, accomplishments, etc.
Started my own company at 22
Currently employed as an Army contract engineer.
LOR - Head civilian on a military base, several pilots, several officers from various branches.
9 min 42 second 1.5 mile time
105 pushups, 110 situps

Negatives - Charged with DUI - It was dropped. I went out to my car to hook up my cell phone to the charger and they took me away to jail. This of course is not against the law hense the dropped charge. Received my waiver for this last month. I also had 3 speeding tickets in the last 3 years.

Hi Everyone,

Any idea "when" September boards begin? The processor screwed up my package and I did not get submitted for this last board. While I'm upset, just wondering when the next board is coming up. Thanks to anyone who knows and can share,

does anyone know when the actual deadline is to get the app in? I cant remember I read it maybe on NavyOCS.com but I thought it was Aug 25th - My OR said I need to get everything to the processor by Aug 20th. But others here on this thread say Aug 15th. Just have a few more forms to sign and about 1 subsection of NASIS and everything should be in order but I dont want to miss this board.

was going to ask the same question. I read somewhere that they put the deadline 2 weeks in advanced just in case of screw ups with the package, don't quote me on it, just think I read it somewhere. if someone could confirm that would be great.

Have it in by the 15th. It gives time for the screw ups on the screw ups.

Trust me. I was supposed to be seen in May...now looking at September.

I'm finished with my motivational statement. Printed, signed, faxed, (received??), done.

I've read it through so many times, I'm starting to hate it. Every word is like a reminder that someone else is going to read it and pass judgment.

But hey, bring it on September board!

Now it's time for some tennis followed by that delicious Alaskan Summer Ale.... seriously, go try it and if you don't like it, I'll buy you a six pack... of Alaskan Summer Ale.

From my experience (two boards), they meet right in the middle of the month... my last board was March 15, I received my Non-select on 28 March... so its "possible" we'll find out right at the end of september. Again, things change, but that was my experience. good luck to all

ASTB 6/6/7 - 52

Shippensburg University 10'
BA in Education - Social Studies/History (3.4 GPA)

LOR's: Professors, Former Bosses, working on some officers at the moment.

Clubs/Activities:
Lacrosse Club
Ice Hockey Club
History Club
Phi Alpha Theta - Honors Fraternity

I am so-so about my package. I busted my tail for the ASTB and did not score as high as I would have liked. Nerves had a bit to do with it. I was also cited for underage drinking when I was 19. Anyone have any insight on how this may affect a kit?

My recruiter pushed me hard to get my package before the September board. Otherwise, I would have some better interviews. Either way, it is what it is and I gave it my best shot with the time I had. If non-select, I will retake the ASTB and give it another go. Anyone know how long before you can reapply? I am thinking two months.

Good luck to all!

Underage drinking does look bad, but as stated in previous threads with similar questions being asked, if you stayed clean ever since it shows that you've matured and stayed out of trouble. No one will be able to tell you for sure that it will/will not prevent you from getting accepted, all you have to do is submit your package and hope for the best.

Best of luck mate, I'll be in this board with you most likely, will post my stats as soon as I get my damn ASTB score..

You got caught. Here's hoping they aren't casting a "holier than thou" session. I'd take ya.

Wish my ASTB score was higher, I definitely thought I did better but, my recruiter said I did a great job either way. Confident of my stats, but my GPA will probably prevent me from getting BDCP. As said before, hopefully the board looks at my package and takes the "as a whole person" approach when reviewing it. Crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.

Good luck to all in this board.
