Hello there!
I am 19 years old, and I graduated high school this past Saturday with a 2.75 gpa.
I am retaking the act so that I can get the necessary scores (which I feel are with in my grasp as I got
close to them with out even trying really.)
I applied for NROTC this month.
Physically: I am 5'8" 155 pounds
I was diagnosed with asthma as a child, the last record I found for it dates back to a year ago reading the following:
This is a 19 year old brought in by his mother with the complaint of earache, He is a known asthmatic and has been using his albuterol as instructed by another physician.
This is a cranky 19 year old but he does not look toxic, he is complaining of his ear for two days on the right. He is using his Albuterol, he said, about four times a day and needs a refill, but he is not having any asthma symptoms.
HEENT: Head is normocephalic. Eyes are clear. Ears: the right tm is red and bulging. Nose there is no drainage. Mouth and Throat: Tonsil and Pharynx look normal.
Chest: Good Breath Sounds in the front and back. No rhonchi, rale, or wheeze
Assessment and Plan: Left Otitis. I put him on z pak 250. Asthma seems controlled. I recommend that he stop using the metered does inhaler and I refilled the prescription. He is to use two puffs every four to six hours for asthma symptoms if needed.
Tonight I walked 2 miles (up hill down hill) and jogged probably 1/2 a mile (im kinda out shape as far as cardio) and I didnt suffer any cough or tightness in my chest, I was tired and had to breathe a little bit, but its been a long time since ive done any running.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
