That would be awesome if the board met today, considering I have no idea if my app is going to get looked at since it has been sitting there since Jan so hopefully we all get looked at and AW can get a big +1. And a girl packing heat could provide for an interesting Friday the 13th. hopefully you aren't ripping your hair out tomorrow

But he was also doing the stanky leg partying last weekend. sooooo not a very viable source, to mimic. if you dont know what the stanky leg is, trust our good friend youtube to illustrate the loathsomeness, when you find a break from watching t-45 weapons vids or the lonely island.

Word from my recruiter is that the board 'will probably be today'. 134 of 250 of FY09 already contracted, 80 pending and 50 up for FEB. These numbers may be incorrect (fuzzy memory) but I think they are at least in the ball park. He also said, as others above have mentioned, that they are not rolling people unless there is a clerical error or missing component. Keep in mind information still varies even with in the recruiting circles, so draw your own conclusions.

That makes sense if it is held today. Monday is a holiday.

I've been contacted by my recruiter saying that INTEL FY10 boards have been combined for this month. EGAD! I haven't seen too many of you stating INTEL as your first choice, but I'm really hoping that I am pro rec'd...you just never know with these boards--I really think my app is strong, but not knowing the competition makes one a bit more apprehensive. Here's to trying to stay positive during decision time!!!

I just recieved an email from my recruiter saying that my name was not on the at board list and he has no idea why. Its a big bummer as I submitted just before Christmas.
Does anybody know exactly what day the board meets? Im hoping there might be some way to get it in but I am pretty doubtful at this point. Hopefully I dont have to wait another two months.
Also, I am applying BDCP, does anyone know if my packet would count towards the 50/month rule?

if you submitted before Christmas, then there must be some error in your application or lacking a signature or something somewhere. The only “requirement” to make the board is that the application must be complete and submitted and received before the first day of the month. My recruiter told me there wasn’t a 50/month board issue, might just be BDCP, but I submitted all of my app on like Jan 26th (BDCP SNA) and he said he had no doubt that my app would be reviewed this month. The theory from previous post is that the board was yesterday, makes sense (President’s day Monday); however, im not expecting to hear anything till after the upcoming week. For the July board I believe I found out on possibly the last day of the month or maybe the beginning of august L.

My recruiter said it was backed up, but who knows. I submitted mine in December straight SNA and my recruiter said he wasn't sure if it was going to be in the Feb Board or not so hopefully i'll hear something here shortly otherwise the wait continues.

Has anyone else heard how long it may take for those recommended this month to make it to OCS? My OR estimated late May, but said it can vary greatly. I went concurrent enlistment, which gave me a head start on the medical. I am not sure whether it will speed up the security clearance side.

I put on my application that I can't go until July first. I have a family vacation to Italy that we have already paid for and have planned as a graduation thing for about 2 years now. I wish I could go sooner!

Hey, bmaru--I lived in Roma for a while, and could give you some tips to make a visit to the city really fun and unique! If it's in your plans to do some sightseeing there, let me know!

For INTEL, I know that the EARLIEST one can start OCS for FY10 is June, as October starts the fiscal year. I have also heard that classes are pretty full...I'm ready to begin as soon as I can, as well...so we'll see. If I don't go right away, I'm taking the USAA loan, pay off some bills and then visit some friends in Spain and Italia...perhaps Ireland as well. Why not...that kind of "hurry up and waiting" I think will suit me just fine!
