FY10 STA-21 SWO Select
I've never really done the college app, thing (joined the Navy so I wouldn't have to), so I was wondering if anyone knew a general time frame it typically takes to receive and acceptance (or rejection) letter from colleges?

Took about 4 weeks for me to get accepted to ODU but I had to call for the acceptance letter because they were mailing out acceptance letters for the spring 2010 first and I applied for Summer 2010. But after I called and asked I received it 3 days later no problem.

The squeaky wheel is the one that gets greased. I didn't apply to ODU until after I found out I was picked up, and I was told the wait was long. I got in there and talked to people, and it took a week or two. Be persistent and you've got plenty of time.

So does anyone think to day is going to be the day. I wish it was but I don't think it will be. I am going to just go and work on my homework.

This may be slightly off topic, but I thought maybe someone might be interested in it.

If you are curious about these two programs and live in the Norfolk area then please try to make it the following meeting:

When: Friday, November 13th
Time: 0900-1200
Where: Ted Convocation Center, Big Blue Room. Norfolk, VA
Info: The session is free; however, they are asking that you register ahead of time, so please follow this link to complete the registration. http://vtc.odu.edu/development/newgibill.html

I hope that someone here will be able to make it to be able to clarify any questions that some of you have regarding the new GI Bill.

On a different note, I want to schedule my Medical Screenings. Does anyone know what I neeed to call and ask for in the medical terms? I don't want to call and ask for a STA-21 Check up, probably would not get me very far. I'd appriciate the help.
