I'm new at this. Could you please explain to me in what ways was the F-18 better than the F-14.

If you ever pass by San Francisco, there is an old Nike Hercules site in the Marin Headlands that the Park Service has restored. The missile elevators still work, and you can go down into the bunker where they stored them. The radars still turn, and they have the control vans open. On active duty, the site even had a kennel attached for guard dogs.there was some link I found once that had images of all the old Nike sites around the US on it. It was kinda weird to find out that there used to be a SAM site down the road from where I grew up.
