Who makes unit patches?

I'm in charge of the class patch for Vance AFB JSUPT class 07-13

I've got some rough designs drawn up, but I don't know who to order from. a Google search provides HUNDREDS of different companies, but I figured somebody on here has to know who makes a really good quality product.

So, Who does your squadron use to make patches? Any recommendations? We only need enough for 26 students... but I understand orders have minimum sizes too.

I think my old squadron got their patched through Wings & Things in Pensacola.

When I was there I think we got it from some place in TX. I would ask around to the senior flights, they'll have a better idea who can better accomodate your smaller orders and location.

Will put in a caveat here . . . if you have a pre-made design, they are great, but their art department is not so good. My roommate tried to get our CQ det patch done there and the resultant patch was delivered late and looked absolutely horrible. He ended up getting it done through an Internet business in Hong Kong; if you're interested I can try and find out the name . . .

Wings & Things made our patches look good (we did the artwork), but they fvcked up the velcro and cost extra for it. We'll never use them again. They refused to either refund or fix the patches when they came to us screwed up. Bad business practice on them. We made sure to spread the word around VT-7 not to use them.

My class used wings & things for our class patches... took'em forever to get the stuff done... took'em a couple of tries to get it right... they gave us a discount on 'em...

Even with that, I'd not reccommend them for making patches. As for getting things sewn onto stuff, they're pretty good.

If you like to go with the fancy leather patches try this http://www.flightjacket.com/store/embossing.aspx

contact sales@flightjacket.com

well, these will be worn on our flightsuits... and I'm looking at Wings-and-Things because the online stores I've found so far wount do matching stitched nametags (unless we order 50 of each name!).

I'm pretty sure if we showed up with leather on our arms... our IP's would have our balls in a collective sling after 5 seconds...

Yes, this is a shameless promotion but.....

This is my wife's company; We've done a lot of crew/squadron patches and name tags with much lower quantity minimums than those offered by other companies. We can do the matching squadron patch/nametag and every name can be different. We can also do hand painted leather patches.

If you need it, we’ll do it or get it… I'll post some more examples later...

Shameless promotion complete.... go back about your business people....
