Which IW Community is best for me?

Hello,
I am a Software Engineer, I am aiming for a Pilot slot, but in the event I do not get picked up. I wanted to ask which one of the communities out of
MCWO
CWO
INTEL
IP
would be the closest to software engineering/ cyber type of work.

I have an OAR of 66 and a GPA of 3.9+

You’re working with a recruiter, this is a great question to ask them.

Better yet, take the 10 seconds to browse the IWC board forums to learn more and see which one is a good fit for you.

Don’t need to be a software engineer to be able to research and find your own answers.

In my humble opinion from closest to farthest:

1. MCWO
2. CWO
3. IP
4. INTEL
 
CWE would be the best fit—you’d actually be doing Cyber & program development. MCWO uses the tools, CW is more SIGINT/EW, Intel does the analysis. IP is just Navy’s IT.
