I spoke with a student who selected -53s a few weeks ago and he said the selection spots are ~12 a year. Not sure of the accuracy of that.

That was roughly the number I heard a few years ago when I selected, so it may be somewhat accurate.

I have just completed Primary and am waiting for Helo Advanced (Navy) and am having trouble finding out information on where and what I might be doing after advanced. Could someone please help?

Can you be more specific? Or are you seriously saying that you have selected helos and have absolutely no idea how the FRS concept works or where they are located?

Yeah, dude, you were very vague and helpless here w/ your first post. Replace some of the "none" fields in your profile and then read through the Adv Helo forum. There's actually some information that can answer your question. Next for you to do is to walk over to the HT stucon of your choice (don't be afraid, now), check that they're not busy, and ask very nicely for an updated selection card. Or, you can check the glass display case across the hall from HT-18s admin office, where I think they post selection stuff.

Oh, and if you happen to be wearing khakis with black shoes at the time, none of this will work.

Don't rule out the obvious (but maybe not so obvious). In a few weeks you'll be able to talk to a lot of different guys face to face and see, touch, smell, and maybe go for a ride in some of the fleet aircraft:

You'll also have an opportunity to fly a piece of history! The mighty CH-46E is coming down from Norfolk, although it won't be me. I'm hoping maybe I'll come down next year...
