When is VT-3 going T-6's

I went to Whiting Field to fly T-34's a couple of years ago. I have a friend in the Air Force that is going to Whiting in 6 months.

Are they still flying the T-34 and are things basically the same or are they changing to T-6's?

Which plane will he fly?

Best case scenario for WF getting T-6's is about five more years. That's the word anyway.

This info may be outdated a bit, but I heard that at the PNS conference (AKA: NROTC CO's meeting) back a few months ago, they said that Whiting would be going to the T-6 in 2010, Corpus in 2011-2012. I suppose they could mean by that that all of the squadrons would be flying the T-6 in those places by then, so it is possible (I guess) that individual squadrons could start with the T-6 before those dates, and VT-3 would be my best bet for starting first since they have the AF studs.

I'm in VT-3 right now, and it's not gonna be anytime in the near future.
