What to wear to recruiter?

lacasera

Currently in a med hold pattern at API
I would go "business casual." For my first meeting with my recruiter, both in Philadelphia and Virginia Beach, I wore khaki pants and a dress shirt (tucked in) and nice shoes. After the initial meeting I think you can tone it down a little, but I always wore pants/jeans and a collared shirt whenever I went to see him (except for when i took my PRT).

Where is the officer recruiter in Philly?

Nevermind. I can figure this one out myself.

Appropriate civilian attire is a good place to start. Jeans or Khakis, Belt, Collared Shirt (tucked in), NO FLIP FLOPS. Business Casual is good to...

It may depend on the recruiter, but I showed up in jeans, a punk rock t shirt and 4 ear-piercings. No shit. Don't sweat it. Just to be safe wear slacks and a decent shirt. Look professional (unlike me).

In all reality, it probably won't matter. Are we talking officer recruiter or enlisted recruiter? As far as an officer recruiter goes, appropriate civilian attire will convey a sense of seriousness about the process. If we're talking enlisted recruiter, he will not care a lick about what you wear, as long as you pass the ASVAB and can fill his quota.

When I walked in and spoke to my enlisted recruiter in Vegas, I was wearing jeans, boots, and an un-tucked t-shirt.

If you're going enlisted, don't sweat it too much. Otherwise, dress casual/formal, as has been said a dozen times now.
