Btw, there was a rumor the I Bar closed a while back. Was that just an ugly, evil, not true rumor?

Multiple BOQs: NAS North Island, NAB Coronado, Naval Station San Diego, FASW San Diego (ADM Kidd), Point Loma Sub Base, MCAS Miramar.
Navy Lodge: NAS North Island, Naval Base San Diego
MWR Beach Cottages.

With so many places to stay, you should be able to find someplace warm and cozy for the night.

Coronado Q is pretty nice, though make sure to get a room in the high-rise. Ocean view one side, harbor view on the other. Though you're SOL if you don't have a car.

32nd St (NBSD) Q has the advantage of being right next to a trolley stop. That's its ONLY advantage, though it's a big one if you're car-less.

ASW Base sucks - relatively speaking. It's still San Diego.

FASW base (ADM Kidd) is near the airport and is within walking distance of the new Liberty shopping area with lots of food and drink nearby. Now, the SUB base Q is tucked WAYY back in the corner and you definately need a good mode of transportation to stay there.
