I have my PPL and wanted to ask if any of you would suggest working on any specific things that would make my experience in Primary a little easier. I don't have the time or desire to work all the way up to an instrument rating, but I wouldn't mind doing some instrument work if it would be beneficial.
I'm sure some would suggest something like "go enjoy your last semester of college and don't worry about Primary till you get there..." Trust me, spending lots of time in a plane IS enjoying my last semester. So, is there anything in particular I could work on that would help me out in the future? If not, it's no problem to just go up and tool around.
At this point I don't know what kind of airframe I'd like to shoot for. Some days I wake up thinking I want jets, others it's helos or props. I'm not even out of school yet so it doesn't matter anyway. I'm sure the IP's will help point me in the right direction once I get there. Not that my desires would matter much anyway... I don't need a lecture about needs of the Navy.
