I understand that you need to take at least the OAR to get into OCS. For some fields like SWO and SUPPLY you only need the OAR. For aviation and intelligence you need to take the other 3 aviation tests. Im looking into INFORMATION WARFARE and was wondering if you need to take all 6 parts of the test or do you just need the OAR. What about for PUBLIC AFFAIRS? I heard that those are special duty assignments...if so how does one get into that field???? Thanks for your help....

What portions of the ASTB are needed for certain fields?

Unfortunately I dont have the answer for you for IW but you should take all portions of the ASTB. If you have all sections completed, then when it comes time to applying you dont have to worry about not having everything done. Taking the second part of the ASTB doesnt take that long.
