What NRC considers competitive

No shouldn’t have to, my first choice was listed as ISEL Supply and second choice was just Supply, so I think we are all good. I heard my waiver was accepted yesterday too so just waiting for the 04AUG board.
Do you mind sharing your stats ?

I’m currently in the process of applying to become a Naval Intelligence Officer and would appreciate any insight on how competitive my package is for the upcoming board in August.

Here’s my background:
  • OAR Score: 61
  • Age: 25
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s in Economics from a Senior Military College (3.3 GPA)
    • Master’s in Land and Property Development (3.4 GPA)
  • Work Experience:
    • Financial Analyst in real estate acquisitions and now in corporate finance
    • Experience in data analysis, risk modeling, and decision making
  • Leadership:
    • Served as Chaplain and later Executive Officer of my unit in college
    • Oversaw peer mentorship, budgeting, and daily operations
  • Physical & Personal:
    • Very fit and fully deployable (no dependents or limitations)
    • Strong motivational statement
    • Actively networking with current Intel Officers, potential LOR from one who’s been in the community for 6+ years

I’d appreciate any feedback on:
  • How this package stacks up for Active Duty Intel
  • Whether a LOR from a current Intel Officer significantly boosts chances
  • Any recommendations to improve competitiveness before the board meets

According to your post history you applied for supply corps at least 1-2 times. Have you seen stats from others who posted here?

I heard the december board only for BDCP and Fleet applicants. Is it true? Your stat looks solid.

Gents I’d appreciate input on my application to SNA.

Age: 29 (turning 30 March 2026).
GPA: 3.76 — General Communication
Oar: 56
AQR: 7
PFAR: 7
FOFAR: 7

Multiple years in professional project management for a heavy civil contractor supervising road and bridge construction, leadership programs, etc.

I’ve got ISEL scores but I need to get PRK/LASIK to be an SNA for low uncorrected vision. I was interested in being an SNA and am exploring options right now for PRK/LASIK, but I would certainly be an SNFO since I want to be in the Navy.

I’ve taken the ASTB once and am considering studying in the 6 month downtime to get better scores but wanted to see others input who would be willing to weigh in on my situation as if I get PRK/LASIK I will need a waiver and be applying without an engineering degree.

Thank you kindly for anyone’s consideration.

PRK / LASIK does not count against ISEL. I am an ISEL SNA select and am waiting out my 6 months post PRK now. I just received my OCS date for about a month after my 6 months is up. Feel free to DM me and we can talk further. I'm not far into the pipeline at all lol but had to go through all of what you described.

While we are discussing the Topic of SNA
Can you guys tell me about my competitiveness

OAR = 66
AQR = 8
PFAR = 6
FOFAR = 7

GPA. = 3.9 plus in Computer science

I have taken a few MS classes ( A in all of them so far)

I have 2 plus years of work experience in software development.

I want to also find out that given this March board will be the last board for FY26, will it be more difficult than the other boards for FY26

I would really appreciate your input.

Thank you for sharing this. Up to now everyone's told me I'd need a waiver for Lasik. Upon further research I see that you only need one if you fall out of pre op refractive limits which, fortunately, I do not.

My appreciation and I wish you luck at OCS

You can have 10 medical waivers and those have no bearing on ISEL, the board sees nothing medical and cannot consider it.
