Dan Carlin hasn't had a new episode or series in a while, but this one from today might be worth consideration by anyone who has, or will in the future, take an oath. There are some things I wish he'd have gone a little deeper on (officer vs enlisted oaths), but by and large it's decent food for thought.

This maybe more appropriate for "what are you watching?" but figure I'll drop it here anyway as even just listening is worth it. Very well done 1hr doc by WSJ on the our exit from Afghanistan.
Obvious takeaway for me is that good quality civilian leadership is still important for our nation, the costs for low quality are extreme. This applies to both sides of the aisle, while one party may have set the stage (a shitty one at that) the other continued down a path that we knew would end in disaster.
