Well, I posted this question over at usnavyocs.com and didn't get a response, so I thought I'd give it a shot over here...
I was down at MEPS a few weeks ago for my physical, and one of the docs there advised me not to get PRK surgery because the wait time for a waiver is technically one year, although some doctors have been arbitrarily granting waivers after 3 months or 6 months. I went ahead and had the PRK surgery anyway, but I'm curious as to what other people have experienced in the waiver process. I'm 26 years old, and if I don't get the waiver in 3 months, I won't be able to apply for pilot. So, what's the scoop?
