Wait between OCS and API

I know this has been addressed to some degree and can change drastically from one month to the next (probably even one week to the next), but can anyone give me some insight on approximately how long the wait is between finishing OCS and starting API right now? I've heard a horror story or two so I'm just wondering what's sort of "average."

As of 22 May, 29-32 weeks for SNFOs and 7-9 for SNAs. Keep in mind that you must complete your NAMI physical, PRT/Swim screen, BOLTC, and IFS before you are ready to be classed up. For OCS grads, the time for SNAs may be shortened due to having some of this stuff done already. However, A-pool is really small currently but will grow drastically with May grads from USNA and NROTC. The wait is always subject to many variables.

What dbatt said. I'm an SNFO and I've been here since Nov. 9th. Possibly classing up here in mid-June/early July.

Do they only have 2 NFO classes a year? Why so long to start?

they have API classes every week. They include both pilots and NFOs.

For the wait. i know its a very long time for NFOs and only getting longer. but for the pilots they told me the friday i checked in i would class up that next friday. (they were going to wave BOLTC for me until a later date) but that next week corpus got backed up and they were only classing a few pilots up a week. so i have been put on the back burner. A pool is very short on pilots as of today but by next week there should be no shortage.

They are only taking about 5 SNFOs per class as of lately. Keep in mind that API consists of SNAs, SNFOs, Marine NAVs, Marine Pilots, Coast Guard Pilots, IMT Pilots, IMT NAVs, Airforce NAVs, Airforce Pilots, and Flight Surgeons. The number of each change from class to calss.

Beach, booze, casinos, your girlfriend/wife, sleep, eat, someone else's girlfriend/wife, get home for a bit, random P-Cola local... repeat as necessary.

I can honestly say I did everyone one of those while I was there. I'm so going to hell.

Damn, I've only accomplished about half of those today. Damn BOLTC always gets in the way.
