I went flying with warbirdadventures.com a couple weeks ago and here is some of the footage from it edited with music. The song is "So Temporary" by Novice. To download it scroll down the the bottom of the page and click the free button. On the next page scroll down to the bottom again and it has a countdown, when it gets to zero the link to download will appear, then click it or right click save target as.

Pretty cool. This is exactly the stuff that SHOULDN'T be in the War Zone. Thanks for the post.

Although I have to say it... If the T-6 is a warbird, then what does that make the Turbo Weenie?

I think the Argentinans would argue it's a warbird too :icon_smil

But Mefesto, because it's difficult to fly doesn't mean it's a Warbird. Hell, the T-34 is a pain in the ass to fly instruments in, let alone learn in, because it's so responsive but has no SAS.

My civilian flight instructor was a WWII radioman in Liberators, as well as an AF retired Col who flew F-86s in Korea, F-102s afterward, and Thuds in Vietnam. He even flew w/ the Ravens for a short time. He always made a negative comment about how people called the T-6 or SNJ a warbird, so I guess I'm biased.

And the fact that the Turbo Weenie actually carries ordnance even further proves my point...which was what I was getting at earlier.

Concur with Chuck....I think "Dueling Banjos" would have been more apropos. Nice camera angles....$hitty Music. I'll bet it was still a kick in the pants.

I can kinda see what he's getting at, but it's still a big loud, oil slurping late 30's era military a/c, which I think to most people is the definition of a "warbird." I'll bet he wouldn't tell Pappy Boyington or any other WWII era pilot that learned to fly and fight in the T-6 that it's not really a war bird... not really biased either way myself.. I just think their cool. Ever seen the Aeroshell team perform with their 4? THATS a site to behold! Great formation pilots, and man is that loud as hell!

I bet he would tell them that. The T-6 was a trainer..they flew planes like the F4U and P51..those were warbirds...when you're in your 80's are you going to call the T45 or T2 a warbird?

Yeah, I kinda just let this thread go, but exactly, and that was his point. Keep in mind this was coming from a former Navy SNA during WWII who flew the Navy trainers (whose name is escaping me right now) before he was "dismissed" for doing loops in a football stadium on a solo. Heck of a pink sheet write-up that would be.
