MIDNJAC what do you mean "hopefully that doesn't mean Nellis?" Not saying I know anything because I'm just a dumb Sh*t dude waitin for OCS...but 2 words...OClub=Awesome at Nellis.

Let's just say that if we wanted to go to an Oclub, we wouldn't fly 1500 miles to go there :) Nellis IIRC is not exactly a cheap cab ride from the strip so convenient it would not be

other than everything already listed, definitely check out "Sunday Morning Rehab" at the Hard Rock Pool. Ita a giant pool party that basically becomes an extension from saturday night. Beautiful women everywhere lots of booze and total craziness to be had. Like stated before there is no need to sleep in Vegas. Sleep when you get back home. Take full advantage. Have fun

What are the best places to stay? We don't care what it looks like since we don't plan on spending much time in the room. Obviously we don't wanna throw money around like we're high rollers, but if it's badass enough we might splurge. Looking for a sweet pool and good location. Here's what my buddy has come up with:

Harrahs: $388
Caesars: $578
Mirage: $502
Treasure Island: $403
Paris: $518

CHeck Luxor and Excalibur. Both are attached to the Mandalay Bay Complex.

(Luxor pool is a dump, if you stay there, realize that you'll have to pay about 40 bucks to get a day pass to Mandalay Beach)

Vegas is by far one of my favorite places. It just takes about 6 months to forget about the money I lost and then I'm ready to go back again.

All the advices is great, but one thing from my experience out there. If you plan to gamble, sign up for the reward card and use it at the tables. You probably aren't going to get huge comp points during your stay, but they mail you offers in the mail that aren't too bad for your next trip. Right now I have 3 free nights during the summer at most of the Harrah's properties.

I've stayed at the Flamingo and Ballys several times, and both are nice, and you won't blow huges amounts of money on your rooms.

Oh, and don't gamble alone or at empty tables - your money goes really fast. I made that mistake last trip, when I woke up early (still on east coast time) and headed down to gamble. I ended up several hundred dollars lighter and hadn't even eaten breakfast yet, but I learned an important lesson. Now if I could just learn to walk away from the tables before I give back the gains...

Caesar's and Mirage are the best of those groups and TI isn't bad either.

I would also check out Monte Carlo (they have 3 pools) as well....

Just a warning though: Caesar's Palace is currently building a new tower (more hotel rooms) and there is a shit ton of construction going on all around it. You probably won't want to stay there until that is finished.

The Venetian is pretty fun, and their new tower the Palazzo is pretty badass. Over the winter when UofA was playing BYU for the Vegas Bowl (wcats won, obviously :icon_smil) the Palazzo was the UofA "sponsored" hotel. I'm not sure what the prices are now, but I remember sharing the room with 5 other guys. We had 2 queen beds and two pull out couches, two flat screens in the suite and one more in the bathtub. We only ended paying about $25 each, plus a broken toilet-tank-cover-thing. would recommend it to anyone.

I have been to Vegas quite a bit of times on budget minded trips. A good place to stay is MGM Grand for the price and their pool complex is pretty nice. Every casino will have a special sometime too, depending on when you are going you can get great deals.

As far as things to do... my favorite would be betting at the Bellagio sports book. Go there to bet on some baseball games (or other sports/races) and hang out in the lounge chairs while being served free drinks. Its a nice time frame to kick off whatever night might ensue afterward too.

Do what I do: don't get a hotel room. That way you're more motivated to get laid, because if you fuck it away not only will you have to self-love, but you'll have to do it before you pass out on a park bench somewhere.

And it's cheap.

Have fun in Vegas.
