If you're into the Irish pub thing, check out Nine Fine Irishmen in New York, New York. Live music pretty much every night, and the band doesn't suck. You will pay big money for drinks, though, so I recommend playing the penny slots for the free booze and THEN going to to the bar.

I second this!! NFI is AWESOME...

I'm not lazy, I'm disabled.
Haha, I collected them one night with a girlfriend, to see who could get more. We each had about 80.

My collecting days are now over since my wife will "punish" (not the kind shown on some of those cards) me. The last collection happened on my bachelors party in Vegas. OOOOh! as far as the original post goes, don't forget about the comps, pump in the quarters when the waitresses come 'round for free booze!

I managed to cinvince one of them to give me one of thier birght yellow "FREE XXX" shirts last time I was there.

Also, if you go to The Spearmint Rhino, ask for James and tell him you know Jake from Texas, He'll hook you up.

This has just replaced "Don't fvck it up" as the single greatest piece of aviation advice.

Oh, and if you're in Miami clubs, my cousin owns 2 of them.

Thread revival- looking like I'm doing a Vegas extravaganza for upcoming POM leave with some friends from college. Probably going to stay in one of the strip casino resorts. I've never been and looking for recommendations. How do the big name ones (ie Mandalay, Bellagio, MGM, Venetian, etc) all compare in terms of amenities and bang for your buck? I figure there has to be a wide array of AW knowledges on this subject.

Last fall, popped up there for 3 days w/ my Son, who had a meeting to attend. We stayed at the Bellagio, in a fantastic room. The Casino, Sports Book, & Restaurants were outstanding. It is a very new Hotel, adjoining the Venetian.

Don't know what it cost, as it was on his Company's dime.

I've personally stayed at the MGM and Mandalay Bay. Both were great places to stay, though I would prefer Mandalay Bay. It had better restaurants, a freaking cool shark tank, and it has an overall cleaner appearance. The pools are nice at Mandalay Bay as well.

How do the costs compare among them? I'm not looking to pinch pennies, but I don't feel like making it rain before I even get into the casino either.

Mandalay does look pretty awesome, but I'm totally open at this point.

If you're gonna do it you might as well do it all the way..Stay at the Wynn

What he said.
From my experience, the Wynn beats them all. Plus, they have XS, Tryst, and a pretty good pool. I stayed at the Aria my last trip and I wasn't impressed.
