One of the platoons in my company did that same type of skit with their camp stools at the OCS. Funny stuff.

They were just here in Charleston last weekend for The Citadel football game halftime show. They continue to impress. At all costs, DO NOT miss an opportunity to watch their performance!

Saw them over plebe summer...

Couple thoughts:

1. Wow they're awesome.
2. Wow we suck.

If you have the time, I'd say definitely worth it. I swear some of the wanna-be marine mids in the crowd had a marinegasm.

Here's a recent making the Internet rounds.

I daresay the best place to see them is at an Evening Parade with the Marine Corps band at their "homeplate", the Marine Barracks at 8th & I near Washington Navy Yard. Nothing comes close to the setting and lighting and history with Commandant's house overlooking the drill field. If you want to impress friends or family or get motivated, this will do the trick and through wonders of the web, you can now make reservations on-line. BTW - I drove by 8th & I recently and the whole area is in widespread urban renewal so it's no longer a bastion of Marines in a rundwon area.

Commandant's residence that was spared the torch by British troops in War of 1812 out of respect for showing of Marines in Battle of Bladensburg.

as heyjoe stated they have the tickets online. I reserved my tickets this year only to be devestated that we weren't able to make it since we were leaving TBS. I have been told it is one of the best things to see first hand and the history being retold. I sure wish we would have been able to make this...but my husband had other plans...like getting the hell out of TBS. :)
