It's not like she would have shown up with a dick in her mouth. I'm sure she can dress up classy for the Marine Corps Ball...

yup, another exaxomple of the warrior-MONK ethos (we seem to choose the monk over the warrior everytime).

I'm sure she is capable of being a respectful guest (more so than some dates I have seen)
 
I bet more Marines would be interested in seeing Jenna over Tito anyways...;)
 
Two points...

First, I have to humbly disagree with the end of the article. Un-inviting the guest of honor at a Marine Corps Ball because his girlfriend is Jenna Jamison is a travesty. Absolutely ridiculous.

But next...and perhaps most importantly, why invite Tito Ortiz to speak at all? I am a UFC/MMA fan, and he is a great fighter and a colorful character but why invite him as the guest of honor? What value does he add to a Marine Corps birthday? Has he ever served? Stupid invite in the first place.

Weird Al is entertaining...but I'm not inviting him to the Submarine Spring Ball anytime soon...

I'm guessing it has to do with this:

"With Miramar slated to host the UFC for a fight night in an aircraft hangar that will be open to station personnel only and televised live to Marine Corps Recruiting Command’s target demographic on Spike TV a month after the ball, tapping one of the championship’s fighters as guest of honor wasn’t as random a choice as it might seem, Johnston said.

The decision to invite Ortiz in the first place was a nod to the relationship West Coast installations and recruiters have developed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship over the past few years, a relationship that has grown especially close in the last six months, according to UFC representative Michael Sakin.

Although the UFC’s burgeoning relationship with the Corps remains unofficial, decision-makers at Recruiting Command are keeping tabs on what the Corps and the UFC are doing to support each other at the installation and recruiting station level with an eye toward possibly formalizing a national sponsorship in the future.

What could better than Jenna at the Ball? What a shame :( I think Tito is not a fan of what is going on in the Mid-East though. Not like it matters but I believe I read that somewhere. Other UFC fighters are actually self-proclaimed pacifists. One of them is Jeff Monson, a big, muscular, bald and tattooed BJJ fighter who participates in anti-war rallies. He beats the **** out of folks on mat and in the UFC but doesn't like war. Interesting.
 
Having never attended a Marine Ball, is their tradition to always invite only other Marines to speak?

Marine or not, I think it's pretty sh!tty that they tried to disinvite his woman, I would've turned down the speech invite if I was in his shoes too. Don't all branches of the military purposefully say that they don't endorse and sponsors of events, i.e. Gatorade at a 5k run, etc. I would think this would be a similar case.
 
hmmm..Just checked her out on the net. Yeah I think they made a mistake not inviting her.
 
Pretty ridiculous when you consider that anyone who would recognize her for who she is would not likely be offended by her presence.
 
comical ... standard Marine Corps political correctness. that Master Guns in the article who was complaining about Jenna coming to the Ball most likely forgot he jerked off to one of her porn movies on one of his past deployments, as did all the other Marines who bіtched about it ...

sigh too bad, sounded like it would have been an awesome MC Ball, unlike most Balls in recent years that have pretty much turned into Mando-fun
 
Just bizzare. I don't understand why they invited the guy in the first place and I really can't compute why they changed their mind. Kinda liked the idea of inviting a Navy Cross recipient. Maybe i'm just sentimental about the Marine Corps Ball though.
 
That news didn’t go over well with at least one senior enlisted Marine. Master Gunnery Sgt. Larry Kuzniak, assigned to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., said he couldn’t sleep that night after reading the news on the Internet.

I'm sure that the problem has less to do with the personal preferences of individual Marines and more to do with having a whore in a place of honor at a Marine Corps banquet.

As for Tito...Used to really like and respect the guy. But geez...he couldn't grow up for just one last fight with Ken Shamrock. And now, does he think he's cool, dating a porn star? That's used goods x1000--and he's probably one of the few of hundreds of guys who have to pay rather than be paid for her, um, services.

Liddell is going to smash him...And I wouldn't mind seeing Liddell humiliate him on the way.
