I can see a scenario where a couple of OGA's would open their wallets to fund the U-2 if the DoD wants to stop paying the bill.

I also don't really see the DoD cutting the Dragon Lady. She's a busy bitch, and that 1950s capacity payload holds a lot of really cool modern stuff that no one else really does.

And yet here we are with the EP-3 Sundown incoming and no viable replacement there. Shit, the RQ-4 is also due to sundown after a long career, but genius Navy is still trucking along with their own comically flawed rollout.

I, for one, think it is critical that America continue to use 1950’s aircraft designs because innovation and modernization “is hard.”
