Travel to OCS

Hello all,

I know there have been a couple of threads about traveling to OCS, but I would like to find out the most up to date information if possible. I am driving to OCS from Illinois for a 12 April start date. Obviously it would be advantageous to arrive a day early. I just checked with the Navy Lodge in Newport and they are completely booked up for that time. Anyone have recommendations for other options? Or just book a hotel off base for the night? Any information is appreciated. Thank you.

You can also stay in town, you'll still get reimbursed. Frankly, you've already made the right decision in bringing your car.
