Stay hinge, stay sane.
FTS is the ONLY TIME those words will ever ring true.
Stay hinge, stay sane.
Are FTS aviators basically doing non-flying staff jobs after a DH tour? The career timeline in the below link makes it seem that way.

Also, I'm assuming PCS moves are the standard after each tour or is it more likely that you're in one location for longer periods of time compared to AC?
Not SELRES but I think I can answer this... You fly as much or as little as you want - to a point. OPNAV still applies, and there is NO difference between AD and Reserve flight time requirements. You have to fly 100 hours/FY, 12 hour night, 12 hours instrument. You have to maintain NATOPS/Instrument currency - so throw in the same requirements as AD to get your Instrument check done (12 Precison, 6 Non-Precision, 12 hours). That's why AFTPs (Additional Flight Training Period) exist. It's pretty much expected you're going to spend min 4 days a month at your squadron, not including your AT (2 weeks).Let's say an AC applicant drops a resig letter, applies for FTS transfer, doesn't get into FTS, and goes into SELRES. How often will often will he/she fly in the SELRES? I can't imagine it's much if they are doing the 1 weekend/month, 2 weeks/year. How do they keep up with quals, proficiency, all that good stuff?

It is the same thing, we just call it SMCR - Selected Marine Corps Reserve.Phrog, how are you not a "SELRES?" Do the Marines call it something different? I'm guessing it's the same basic thing as far as Title X is concerned since you use the same type of pots of money (based on your past posts).
If you don't care about making O-5, you can pretty much fly till 20. Major staff will follow a ticket punching DH tour (with few exections like a year at War College). Stay hinge, stay sane.
Looks like the bupers ass monkey math... for instance: 28 of 47 got picked up= 59% not 75.7%... thought you had a spreadsheet with the REAL numbers? Trend lines look odd to me as well... rolling average? Thanks for posting though.
