BTW, on our "'Round The Horn" cruise bringing the new CONNIE to SanDog in '62, Panama City, Panama was the only port call where we could tie up to a pier! Trinidad, Rio, Valparaiso, Lima & Acapulco were all "anchor out". Panama City was great liberty as were the others.:thumbup_1
Becoming a Shellback was a rarity back in that era...Best fun cruise ever!
