Crossfit's "Murph" workout, in honor of LT Michael Murphy is:

1 mile
100 pullups
200 pushups
300 squats
1 mile

Obviously most people can't do 100 consecutive pullups, but the idea is to knock them out as quickly as possible.

Don't forget to wear a 20 lbs flak jacket if you have one available.

Did this workout (sans 20 lbs flak jacket), it is just as brutal as it looks. Did it with 10 sets of 10 pullups, 20 pushups, 30 squats.

Edit: I am glad someone else posted this, because when I read that post I immediately thought of this workout as well.

Stew Smith is a fan of the 100 pullups in as few sets as possible workout as well.

He was on Fight Science (?) on the National Geographic Channel a few months ago. He did a test that had to do with putting the body in hypothermic conditions then doing various activities. Wish I could have seen it, but that channel doesnt replay things the way that every other channel seems to.
