I posted this in the NFO forum but thought I should drop here as well.
After reading "Bogeys and Bandits" by Robert Gandt, I was so drawn by the human aspect of the story that I wondered where the people the characters were based on are now and what they are doing. Without dropping real names, could anyone in the Hornet community who knows the people Gandt talks about help me out? Did Shrike ever make it to fighter jets? At the end it sounded like Chip eventually dropped out of Navy. What about JJ Quinn, Mr. Perseverance? thanks

Im currently reading "Bogeys & Bandits" right now. I guess there isnt an epilogue to it.

Thats what I liked about "Air Warriors". There was an epilogue that talked about what happened to everyone.

Only one I can comment on is the one female, Magpie I think they called her in the book- she wrote her own, called something like "In the Hornet's Nest." It's been a while since I read it, but I don't think it goes a lot further than Bogeys and Bandits did.

You know im only so far into the book, and maybe her attitude improves, but as of right now, I shudder to think what her book is about

I read that the author or "Bogey's and Bandits" was a bit biased though towards her, don't know how true that is.

I say read her book just to see both sides.
