Time in service

I'm currently employed by the FAA.
I know that when I left active duty that it would count toward my retirement. But does it work the other way around when I go back into the military? In other words does my 6 years as a civilian federal employee get counted toward my military time?

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

I'm used to people hating me or rather the FAA, in fact I hate the FAA just as much if not more, that is why I'm attempting to return to the millitary. People will hate me just as much but at least I can feal a little better about where I'm at.
