Here's to getting what we want, not what we need

Military school is great; just what everyone needs ....
roger on the rock and paint job. i had heard a similar story about them not wanting/being able to repaint the birds in a typical Navy SAR scheme. The "ROCK" is/was/always will be Whidbey, in USN parlance at any rate ...
I checked with the SAR C.O. (I'm name dropping, actually ran into him in the Exchange -- chatted and he invited me over for a look-see/pony show) .... and the paint deal is:
When they get a "permanent" -60 for a station SAR birds, they paint it orange/gray .... the ultimate plan is for all "permanent" birds to be white/orange. The all gray ones that I see flying past the final-resting-place-ROCK are "temps" ... borrowed from someone and on "loan" until NAS gets all their birds up and running on their TO&E.
That's according to my newest, best friend ... the CO.

That is all we need another retiree with the Duty on speed dial and a telephoto lense. Its like a Greek myth they lure in with Sirens in Bikinis then call the duty and crush us like Cilla and Caribdas
Thanks I think (smiles simulated)
You mean thats not a Lime drop??
Wait, like "somewhere over the rainbow?"
I'm a friggin IDIOT.No, I think he meant an tactical airborne insertion of limes, via pallette(sp?), as I'm sure A4s is so secluded that is the only way he can get his limes.![]()
