I'd be willing to bet SWO's DO like that uniform. Comfy is always KING.

Yeah, it's ugly as hell, but it's a good mix of comfortable and practical.

And for the troops standing topside/outdoor watches in the recent COLD weather, it beats the hell out of any of the previous stuff for cold weather use. Unless they were retarded and used the uniform allowance to buy an Xbox instead of the jacket+liner.

Spekkio

He bowls overhand.
You think that parka is good? I hated the damn thing. Chaffed the hell out of my neck. It now sits in the bottom of the seabag...
Parka + liner = Ralphie's kid brother in A Christmas Story

"I can't put my arms down!"

Luckily the parka is warm enough without the liner, and the turtleneck helps, too.

^ Could this pix possibly be the next, best FLEET defense idea ... ??? You make the enemy's eyes hurt so bad that he just gives up & goes away ... ???

I know this pix hurts my eyes ... :)

And don't give me the B.S. about it's more 'practical' ... I've done the whites, blues, khakis, and some other things ... no problem at the end of the day. Whatever happened to 'traditional' sailors .... ???

God love 'em ...

Worked with them yesterday! Pretty cool ship, but it looks like any of the European corvettes....why did we spend so much reinventing the wheel?
