Yes he does - for his Sunday performance I think we had 7 GoPros mounted all over the place.
I wish I had a chance to get a better shot of this stearmann but he was only doing touch and go's at the time.
I also had an opportunity to check out the country's first smokejumper base. Their facility had a lot of history, really a cool place.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 101st is not actually an Airborne Division any longer…except in name only. It's an "Air Assault" Division, yes? Only the 82nd is an Airborne Division so far as I know...
So…why this?
I believe many of those Hornets are from my Ol' Squadron 'Alma Mater' VFA-146. Go Blue Diamonds!

Yes. All the planes with a 300 series side number were VFA-146's. I'll dig through my old photos and see if I have more from 146.
No clue - all I know that the team is very specific in calling themselves the "101st Airborne Division's Parachute Demonstration Team".

The 101st is in fact, an " Air Assault " division, that is still called the 101st Airborne. We liked to call them " dopes on ropes " all in good fun. They did not appreciate our attempts at humor. In all seriousness, they are great at their mission.
