Check out the comment by the idiot who thinks the crew should be "held accountable" for putting the public in danger by ejecting from an out of control jet.....yep these people really live among us.

No information regarding any mishaps or investigations will be posted by anyone with even remote access to priv. information.

I seem to remember they used to serve good gumbo at Acadiana, and free ice-cream for aircrew. Not a place I'd like to break down, but a good stop regardless... but not like this. Two beers hoisted to the guys that got out. Cheers fellas.

Wow, if that plane had landed on my property I would cover it up and act like I had'nt seen it! "T-45??? Dont know what your talkin about, sir"

Yeah, the Jethro from the article probably would have tried to tow it home if he hadn't been driving a Geo Tracker.

They do great gumbo and they also have some quite tasty mudbugs. Last time I was there they had a buffet deal...all the bayou favorites. Two kinds of catfish, mudbugs, cornbread, sweet tea...good stuff.

Glad everyone got out ok. Bad times at TAW-2.

A bad day here is better than a good day being a SWO.

Like skid said, no privileged info here. Those of you at the meeting this morning know the Commodore and CO said the same. Abide by it.

Until I read an old Grampaw pettibone article a few weeks ago where something similiar to this happened to a hornet I never could have imagined a crew ejecting and then the plane landing on its own without crashing into a fireball. Aside from the human element in this, it would have been pretty funny to see a pilotless plane land itself right in front of you. Kind of like when you see a car driving itself, and when you pull up closer then you see the pair of hands on the wheel belonging to the 85 year old woman who can't see over the dash. :D

Whats that old sayin, if you can walk to your FNAEB, you're having a good day. Glad they got out safely, regardless of anything else.

I'm glad they got out ok. I only know of one flight from Sherman that went out today as a result. I wonder how CNATRA will deal with this one.

Acadiana had good food when I was there too. Not a bad place to wait out the weather for a few hours.
