No, I didn't get issued the damn things in systems class, I think the book lady here in Corpus was just pissed at us for some reason, she kept yelling too. I like the idea of one in front of the sh!tter though, creative.

Good man. I'll be honest (not a role model here), when in flight school, if I wasn't flying, I usuallywasn't sober. I never partied and carried on as I did back than, even in college. Flight school should be a great ****ing time. FLY HARD, DRINK HARD, PARTY HARD.

Thats some of the best advice on this thread so far. You don't need to wait for weekends, if you're not on the sked, its time to drink. I got drunk last night in fact cause my buddy and I didn't have sims 'til evening today. Especially when Jim Beam is only $22 for a handle.... :icon_smil

UNTIL ..... the phone rings one not-so-fine morning after the night before and it's SKEDs and you have been re-scheduled (to an earlier time Oooops !!!) because someone/something else fell through the cracks ..... do you see where all this is going ????

It happens ... it happened in the past .... and it WILL happen again in the future --- and maybe to you.

The lesson: ... "if you're gonna hoot with the owls, you still have to be able to fly with the eagles ....."

Oh yes, so true. Happens quite often here. I'm not advocating getting smashed all the time. They've actually been putting us on the sked during the week as "not sked" due to weekend events. There's nothing like having 2 sims on a Saturday, starting at 0530.

She was yelling because she is partially deaf.....thats why she watches everyones mouth when they talk......not to worry, took me the better part of a year to figure that little tid bit out. I will say she is a whole lot easier to deal with once you understand why she acts the way she does.

Oh I know she's partially deaf, but she was literally yelling at my class when we went to get our books. She was mad about something, maybe having to work so close to Christmas, it was mid December when we checked in. But she was very helpful when I went to get a new checklist/blue brains packet after my dumbass left it in the sim one night.

Um, I don't have Acrobat on this machine, so I can't check, but does that copy have the CHINFO stamp saying it's approved for distrabution? If not, that's a semi-big deal in that it's not for public release. Not directed at you Retread, just saying in general.
