I'm swearing in on Friday to BDCP SWO college graduation in December 2009. Does anyone have any advice related to swearing in / signing documents?
Any recommendation will be helpful--Thanks
I, name, do solemnly swear, (or affirm,) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. (So help me God.)
I'm just curious, but you all are talking about swearing in for the BDCP, correct? I assume this as you wouldn't wear a suit to OCS commissioning but your uniform, of course. But the way everyone's posting about the suit, camera, and such, it sounds like a huge event to sign and take care of business. That's cool with me - I'm big on dressing up for important occasions and enjoying the little moments - it just caught me a little off guard. I guess I assumed that commissioning would be the big event, but I forgot that you do swear in before entering BDCP.
Congrats, JJH.
Do BDCP years count towards retirement?
