Surf in Texas...WOW

Any surfers out here in Corpus for flight training? I am just curious if I am going to be the only Marine that surfs. Anyhow, the surf today or this morning rather, was sweet. Couple of feet overhead, clean, powerfull. Only get
a handfull of days like it a year here. Anyone get to get on it? Or see it from the cockpit of a t-34.
It was downright beautiful!

I was out there today...the surf was awesome. If it didn't take a hurricane to get these conditions, they would be great to have every day.

Good thing there were waves today, cause there wasn't sh!t on Saturday. I like to kayak out in the waves, when they exist.

you have to thank Dennis for that. Same thing happened when Ivan hit last year.....the waves came all the way up to the pavement on whitecap.....pretty sweet.

Wasn't there a scene out of Thicker Than Water where some guys in Corpus were surfing behind the wakes of Tankers coming through the gulf? Whens that big swell supposed to hit San D?
