Awww, to be 21 years old again and invulnerable but to the strongest strains! 1 1/2 peso Sam Sams at the Tom Tom Club, sleezy rooms on the 2nd deck. Orchid, Mexico Bar, Nu Jolo's, alligator pit, Kongs Restaurant nawwwww never heard of them. :D

By the way IMHO the Filipina wives that wrote this are guilty of a bit of revisionist history. I never heard of a bar fine not resulting in a long night of hot sex. They are right that it never felt like prostitution though. In fact I knew 2 guys in our company that ended up getting married to their LBFM.

Found some youtube vids that might bring some feeling of nostalgia by some of the posters on this thread.


I was in Subic a couple years ago on deployment, the place has changed a lot I guess. There are tons of expats that have settled in and around the area. They turned the whole place into some resort town with tons of waterfront restaurants, the old barracks are now rental hotels.
