Round 2...
Contributor
I suppose It's high time to post my stats..

ASTB 9/9/8
PFT, Run: 23 min
CU: 100
PU: 13

1 year NROTC at ERAU (DB campus)
transferred as far away from an ocean in North America as I can get to
South Dakota State University, Brookings SD
I'm currently a Junior majoring in Aviation Education with a 2.0 (recovering from a not so hot freshman year, long story involving a bad bendix starter on a seminole, 23 hour x-country, and an icing airmet during finals week)
Do not regret transferring one bit
finished MEPS no problem

As far as extracurriculars go
Deputy Commander Cadets here at our local CAP squadron (I know, hold your applause)
Treasurer of the SDSU skydiving club
and working with my OSO to create a Semper Fi society here (trying to get interest in a Air Force/Army state)

Lots of speeding tickets from when I was in high school and thought actions didn't have consequences but I'd like to think that I've grown up a lot since then.

As far as LOR's go I have 2 from my JROTC instructors (Retired Army Major and SgtMaj.)

That's me in a nutshell

Max weight for all airframes with ejection seats (jets) is 225, no exceptions.

I too was in over 225 when I initally started the process so I had to lose the weight which was hard since I was very muscular.

The navy considers you overweight for your height as well as does a very crude/inefficient way to measure body fat which you will fail more then likely. Neck width, waist width, height, and weight. It does a good job on measuring body fat on 95% of the normal population but not for big framed muscular guys like us.

I luckily lost the weight and got within the standards in-time for my packet to be submitted (which is required for board submission), so I don't know really what the navy does when its BMI calculations are saying your are 25% body fat when in reality a applicant is just a solid huge framed muscular build. My OR didnt know either and he advised me just to lose as much weight as possible even if it is muscle.

Good luck

Physics major, Naval Science minor, 2nd year Marine Option NROTC
GPA: 3.0, Actual: 3.3
PFT: 230 (darn pull-ups), up from 169 Initial
-Earned a side-load scholarship freshman year (3 year)
-ASTB will be taken in ~3 months
-ACT: 26 Math, 22 (Verbal, or whatever the other thing was)
-OCS Summer 2011 (seems far away now...)
-CAP in high school (A few flights from single engine private license)
-I figure I made a good choice with the Physics major, mechanical section should be cake (or so i'd hope)

We'll see how these "stats" do for me in the future, there aren't too many Marine Option Physics majors, so I have no idea how that will pan out? Any ideas/thoughts?

Roger that. I got my weight down for my flight physical so the weight on my packet is g2g. I'll have to get it down again for tbs and then of course again for pensacola. Sux...
