How does the STA-21 program work? Considering you have to get advanced standing by junior year in college to stay in the program, do you automatically come into the program with it if your doing the two year deal with NROTC after going through the STA-21 course in RI?

So basically you are saying you want to enlist for almost 8 or so years, apply for STA-21 which as of now has record low selection rates, then apply for advance standing which doesn't remotely apply to a STA-21 selectee as the Navy is already bank rolling you

What I'm saying is how does it work by going to community college for two years and then going to a university and doing NROTC for two years.

You have to be an active duty enlisted sailor to do STA-21. It's not a program for you.

You could enlist with the intent of going STA....
