Space-A Flights: P-cola to SoCal

I will be reporting to OCS in a few weeks, and my husband and I will be driving my car down to Pensacola. He is a retired Marine, and would like to travel Space-A back to Southern California. I've gotten a copy of the Military Space-A Air Travel Guide book, and it looks as though there are "unscheduled" flights between NAS Pensacola and NAS Oceanna, as well as unscheduled flights between Oceanna and LAX/El Centro/North Island. Does anyone have an idea of how frequently these flights occur? He's not in a big hurry to get home, but I'd like to know whether he could get back within a few days. Any advise would be appreciated. :)

We got ours from a base exchange, but I'm fairly certain you can order them online. Try the publisher's website: www.militaryliving.com .
