how many $100's of dollars did this kid waste of his parents money learning that!?!? Must've crashed it at least once, twice, or 50 times...!!!

Huge power to weight ratio and LOTS of practice. Looked real to me. The cameraman was very good.

Your nuts sir, these guys make tons of money off of sponsorships and crap.

Still pretty unbelievable. I've seen some crazy shit done with planes before but that guy takes the cake.

Roger the power to weight...but don't helicopters crap themselves upside-down?

I suppose it would be possible to reverse the pitch of the blades in flight but I would think controllability would be an issue.

And yes...he is a future air guitar world champion.:D

It must be nice to have enough time and money (or parents money) to dump into something so meaningless..

"Show me the W-2!!" (apologies to Jerry McGuire)

I'd have to say the average RC helo guy does not make tons of money.

Maybe 1% get to the top in their "field", as in the skateboard world, so I don't think they're all rolling in it.

That's F3I.. I have seen it in person. Its nuts.

The blades reverse and the control mixing is set so that is not a problem with regards to engine power and RPM.

There is nothing in Physics preventing helos from flying upside down anymore than a plane. Its normally a function of head design. Most RC's have a semi-rigid head, where all flapping is done via blades bending and the head bushings flexing. Lead-Lag is taken care of via the blade retention bolt.

I could hover my RC Helo upside down, but nowhere near the skill of the video. It's a little "sporty" because the weight on top of the center of lift makes it even more unstable.

He may get some "sick" sponsorships, but all the sponsorship money in the world doesnt compensate for never getting laid.

They sell something called RC simulators that can be used to practice all this before you try it with the real thing. Google Real flight RC simulator and you'll see how realistic those programs are.

Drinking alcohol is pretty much meaningless but i'm sure you would spend 5 bucks on a bottle of beer that's worth 90 cents at a bar and not even give it a second though...this isn't any different. To each his own right?

****I have spent countless amounts on money on overpriced booze myself so i'm not against it****

If you look around on the internet, you can find other videos from this kid. Pretty sure he sleeps with his helos at night. NOW ON THE OTHER HAND, he's frucking amazing, I saw one of him flying around in his house, doing tricks, whipping it around his kitchen, CrAzY!! Makes you want to fly helicopters.......................not.
