SNAs/ SNFOs: Don't Miss History!

It's not often that we get to witness something truly historic; tonight will be one of those rare moments. The 'American Daredevil' Bubba Blackwell will be jumping his Harley Davidson XR750 over a world record 52 cars tonight at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL. Those in the Pensacola area would be crazy to miss it. Bubba was originally scheduled to jump 42 cars, but decided the number was unlucky since his last jump led to 42 broken bones. I've decided to embrace my inner-redneck and head out to Loxley tonight at 6. See you there!

So, umm, couldn't he have avoided the bad luck by jumping, say, 43 cars then??

I just jumped 100 cars on my tricycle.....awesome enough for you?

yea, extremely awesome enough.

but you didn't post the fact that you were going to jump 100 cars on AW, so how could i be witness to the awesomeness?

beatstreet.

It was kind of a let-down. The cars were smashed and stacked, so it was probably only about a 50-75 foot jump and about 30 feet high (maybe 5 feet higher than his launch ramp). There were some sweet wrecks during the regular racing, so that was fun. It was also interesting to see the cultural differences between where I'm from (New England) and the deep, deep south. Things like two children (around age 10, I'd guess) driving a full-size car around the track by themselves for about a half hour before it started.

For all those Bubba Blackwell fans who may have missed this Death Defying Stunt, don't worry I have the footage on YouTube.

Enjoy!
