You could get a Tennessee Walking Horse H60..

Their ears are damn near Mule-Huge!

That was my point MB!

I've gone to Mules, better fit for my type of riding/packing. Have a baby Mule coming in June, might have to start an AW "name the baby long ear" thread soon! :D

Okay, Killian looks awesome.. LOL! Surely Killian is more intelligent that he/she appears to be.... right? That is a silly picture.

Your horse is gorgeous. I see the attraction to go up to the farm frequently. I'd be grooming that baby for days. Our daughter is very attentive with a brush if you ever need a helping hand. When she took lessons up in Virginia Beach, she literally hand picked the dirt off of her pony. Seriously, I was waiting for her to bath pony like a cat! Crazy.

Yeah, Killian really is that stupid. I think we left her intelligence in Iowa, when we PCS'ed to FL... She's great with the kids, and (kinda) obeys, so she gets to stay. Pickle on the other hand...

You should bring the kiddos out to the farm! It's off Beaver, north of I-10. We're out there every afternoon and almost all day on the weekends. :)

That equine looks lame in the front left quarter. Plus it's ears are too short for my taste!
We had just started the workout. She was having a temper tantrum about putting her head down and walking forward. If Pickle was paying attention, the end of the workout was way better than the beginning.

We're expecting a little Bella, too! We have NO idea what she's bred to. She was a rescue from HPAF in Micanopy. I called the director last week, and her response was, "what!?" I'm just hoping it's not the cryptorchid Paso that was out with her. We don't know when she's due, either. Pickle is in denial, but I'm thinking this summer sometime. God knows what I'm going to do with this thing, when it's born. I'm hoping the backyard-redneck-asshats that starved her almost to death bred her to a Warmblood. What do you think my chances are? :p

What do you breed to get your mules? Other than a horse and donkey, smartass. ;) Her ears are plenty big enough! It's going to be my damn luck, and this baby is going to be a mule, and then I'm going to have to ship it all the way out to H60!

Proud cut geldings can be a surprise! I'm not a horse or mule expert by any means but I'd bet the previous owners didn't have her bred to some high dollar stallion with Doc Bar Poco Lightening Seattle Slew bloodlines. Probably the Paso got her, at least the foal might be gated. If it's a mule, I'll take it!

My mare was bred to a painted Jack (not mine). Hoping for a painted mule. Jacks name is Hammer, and here comes the thread jack (pun intended) off into bestiality land!

Pic is from a pack trip into a high mountain lake last summer, the mare is the one carrying baby long ears. Little molly mule that I'm riding is a friggin' Rock Star, goes anywhere, does anything even packed out half an elk last September.

I've thought that the horses the family has owned in the past would be good for hunting, but the present group.. Not so much.

Max- 17 year old Tenn. Walker mare. This horse is no joke in my mother's will. It gets more than me.
Polly- Spotted Saddlehorse. She'd be good to take hunting if she wasn't so damn clumsy.
Paqo- Extremely high strung "Tenuvian" (Tenn Walker x Paso Fino). Nice horse, but a space case.

We had a Quarter/Morgan mix that would have been a prime hunting horse. Built like a tank, mild mannered, and would ground tie and stay put. Also did not care about loud noises. Only bad habit is he tries to help you fix stuff, whether you want it or not.

We have a Fjord/Morgan mix exactly like that, Chico, aka "Dennis the Menace". I always make sure he carries the alcohol, because he doesn't do stoopid shit like bang into trees/rocks.

Bella doesn't get into trouble. She's entirely too busy, being a diva and such. Alex's paint/perch, on the other hand, had the annoying habit of knocking his hip into the stall wall and knocking the boards down. He would climb into the stall with my Paint mare, Zelda. She was never amused at that (but, really, she was never amused at much). We have a Paint colt at the farm that thinks he's a dog. He doesn't even need to have a leadrope on, he'll just follow his "girlfriend" (another baby) in, and walk into his stall for dinner.

This is Alex, showing my paint mare, Zelda at 2'9" jumpers.

Oh, and this is why that damn dog is worth her weight in gold.
