Thanks for the post. I’d never heard of this fellow, and what a set of “balls!” This guy, well, what can you say? Seems as though he’d lived the rest of his life in the same way, “Full speed ahead.” What a guy… This fellow was from a different time. Sadly, times have changed. I can’t even find a kid to mow my lawn, much less lie about his age to join the service and go to war.

We lose about a thousand WW2 vets a day in our country. I'm glad that I've gotten the chance to sit down and talk to a few in my life.
 
After reading about him, is there any doubt left why these guys were dubbed "America's Greatest Generation"? It would have been cool to have him at a TBS mess night, oh the stories he could probably tell!
