Hello all,
This is an odd one. I'm probably not the first one to peruse the long list of medical requirements and try to spot any potentially disqualifying conditions I might have.
While doing so, I came across the so-called Self Balance Test as a standard requirement for the class I flight physical, as referenced on page 15 of the AWRG: https://www.med.navy.mil/Portals/62/Documents/NMFSC/NMOTC/NAMI/ARWG/Waiver Guide/AWRG COMPLETE.pdf
I found a description of what that test entails on page 2 of this older document: https://www.med.navy.mil/Portals/62...D CHANGE 155.pdf?ver=QiBMnLBVwqkjIJnDyFDctw==
Upon trying it out a few times myself, I was surprised by how much harder balancing on one leg gets when you close your eyes.
Has anyone here who has already been through all the medical stuff encountered this test, and has anyone had any problems completing it? Do you have any strategies or tricks for training your equilibrium?
I've searched the entire forum multiple times, but couldn't find anything about this balance test. If this has been discussed in another post, I apologize.
