an osprey pilot instructing with vt-35 recently gave his portion of a platform brief over here in CC.
He said that the reason for the lack of slots was that the FRS squadron lost all its experience and too many instructors to the squadron that got stood up (and is deploying in september i think) so they closed the pipeline until they could get enough qualified instructors for the FRS sqdron again. He postulated that it would open up again in two to three more months.
