I would tend to agree with you on the 320, and go back and ammend my post.
We had three ADs with them in 5ish years, and two that resulted in the person being struck by the round. The other 36 years years that I've been here, we have had 2. One of those was a 1911 that had a jacket jameed in the holster during reholster, and an AR15 that was pure negligence.
That being said, I think having one as a pure range gun that is not loaded other than when it's in your hand has some value. I persoanlly beleive when the root cause is confrimed it will be a large set of guns that would never have an uncommanded discharge and a very small percentage that might. Even at that, I would not ever reccomend it as a gun for EDC.
Appreciate that. I think the issues with the P320 stem from sloppy tolerances within the gun. Once they stack a certain way, bang. I tried one once, and while it was fairly new, it was a rattletrap of a gun that made me nervous. Trigger was not awful, but nothing special, even for a striker-fired gun. Not worth it IMHO even for a "range only" pistol. You'd do better with a Taurus for the same money- at least then you're getting some "free" malfunction drills in the bargain.

ETA: I'm amazed you still recommend it in any capacity after seeing 3 ADs in 5 years on the range. Why?
@CFLE9 , train with what you buy. And train, and train, and train. Take classes with a competent instructor. The confidence you'll gain is well worth it.
