Seabee Jobs

I know this thread says CEC and this doesn't have anything to do with any Seabee officer positions, but this is the only place relevant to throw Seabee stuff in. I'm signing my contract here in a couple days (had to get a waiver) and I'm torn up about a few ratings that are available to me. I got a 79 on my ASVAB and can do whatever I want. I'm looking into aviation mechanics, whether that be power plant, airframe, or electronics, but I also discovered the CM rating in the Seabees. I'm really interested in it and wanted to find some advice and More info on this job. As far as I know it's a "high priority" navy job and it'll ship me out faster and I'll be working on gasoline, diesel, and hydraulic systems. Just looking for advice and input before I sign any contracts

Yeah good point. I've had more hands on work with vehicles, but still know a lot about aircraft and how they work. I want both but I know I can't. I guess it's just down to a lot of research
